Admissions
Admission for training is based on the following factors:

What to Bring to Class
Dress Code
For safety reasons, students will NOT be admitted to training if they are wearing any of the following:
Conduct
Students are expected to conduct themselves reasonably, reflective of the working world, and abide by Aegis regulations. Aegis reserves the right to place students on probation or dismiss them from the training when necessary. The following, although not all-inclusive, are instances that lead to probation or dismissal:
Grading System
An overall grade point average of 80 percent (80%) is required for successful completion of a course, except in the case of Powers Of Arrest, which is open book and requires a grade of 100 percent (100%). BSIS firearms course requires a minimum grade of 86 percent (86%) on the written exam, and a minimum of 200 points on the range exam to pass. Grades are based on a combination of test scores and practical demonstration.
PLEASE COME WITH A MINDSET TO LEARN. YOU ARE PAYING FOR A SPOT IN THE CLASS, NOT A PASSING GRADE.

Out of State Guard License
California has no reciprocity with other states regarding guard licenses. You must meet CA training requirements, and get CA guard licensing to work as a guard in this state.
- Registration is required due to demand of courses. This reserves a space for you in a course. Registration fees are NOT refundable. Registration fee is credited to course fee. The day of the course, you pay the remainder of the course fee.
- Once you complete the online registration, you will be automatically added to the upcoming class. If you prefer a different date scheduled, just contact us, and we will gladly reschedule you.
- We use PayPal to process payment for registration fees. You do not need to create or have a PayPal account.
- The rest of the course tuition fee must be paid in cash or money order the day of the class.

- If you are not able to attend your scheduled class, you MUST notify us NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM THE DAY BEFORE YOUR SELECTED COURSE DATE. We will gladly reschedule you for another date available.
Admissions

- Proof of Citizenship or legal resident status.
- Be at least 18 years old to participate in most of the courses.
- Be at least 21 years old to participate in firearms course.
- NOT be prohibited by law to possess any weapons to participate in the firearms, baton, and/or chemical agents course. Regardless if you currently possess a valid CA guard card.

What to Bring to Class
- Photo ID (CA ID Card or Driver License)
- Payment fee for the training.
- Notebook and pen or pencil.
- If taking any firearms class, other requirements are listed in those pages.
Dress Code
For safety reasons, students will NOT be admitted to training if they are wearing any of the following:
- Low cut, or revealing dresses, or blouses, or spaghetti straps.
- T-shirts with offensive logo’s or wording.
- Clothing with any references to drugs/alcohol.
- Open toe footwear, sandals, flip-flops, high-heels.
- Shorts, short skirts, leggings.

Aegis reserves the right to place students on probation or dismiss them from the training when necessary. The following, although not all-inclusive, are instances that lead to probation or dismissal:
- Theft or destruction of school or student property
- Any type of dishonesty or cheating
- Physical abuse of any person on school property
- Illegal possession of firearms or other weapon
- Intentional disruption of any school activity
- Possession, use, or sale of illicit drugs or alcoholic beverages during scheduled training hours
- Violation of school regulations
- Any violation of Local, State, or Federal laws

- All hours must be completed.
